Afghan National Police save teenage life from kidnapers

KABUL: (MEP) – Police officials in Kunduz reported that they had been the eyewitness of several cases of kidnappings this year and in most cases police forces had been able to recognize the kidnappers and save the lives of several children in Kunduz Province.

The families of the children condemned significantly the actions of the kidnappers and demanded the Justice and judicial institutions in the country to sentence them to death.

The Police chief of Kunduz Mustafa Mohsini said, ”The kidnappers have committed four kidnappings and they had earlier had kidnapped a 12 year old student on his way to school, but after Police recognized the areas during 12 hours of operation they were able to save the boy from the hands of kidnappers. Police also added, “Kidnappers used to keep the kids in one of the areas called Dah wairan in Khanabad district of Kunduz Province. That area was destroyed by Police Forces and 3 kidnappers were arrested.”

The father of the kidnapped boy demanded the Police to take serious actions against these kidnappers and asked the justice and Judicial institutions to sentence them to death in order to prevent the same actions in the future, ariana news reported.

The head attorney Mawlawi Shoaib said, “12 up to 18 years of jail-time have been the sentences for kidnappers.” He added, “In the current case, the man was sentenced to 18 years of jail. However, for those who killed the children that were kidnapped, they will be sentenced to death.”
