Afghan women’s handicrafts are put on display in Baghlan

KABUL: (MEP) – Handicrafts of Afghan businesswomen have been put on display in one of the hotels in Pul-e-Khumri, capital city of Baghlan province, Wadsam reported.

The exhibition is held by the Empowerment Center for Women (ECW).

“The purpose of this exhibition is to promote Afghan businesswomen’s handicraft products and to help find local and international markets for their products,” said an official of Baghlan’s Afghan Businesswomen Association.

She added that similar exhibitions would be convened in Badakhshan, Takhar and Kunduz.

Meanwhile, Afghan businesswomen requested the government to provide support and called on local businessmen to invest in handicraft business.

The exhibition is held for one day; however, interested buyers can purchase the products at anytime from the ECW office in Baghlan.
