Afghanistan-Pakistan Finance Ministers Decided on Economic Cooperation

KABUL: (MEP) – Hazrat Omar Zakhailwal, Afghan Finance Minister and Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Pakistan Finance Minister  in existence of Hamid Karzai President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and Mia Nawaz Sharif, Pakistan Prime Minister signed an contract on extending some projects and cooperation between the two countries, BNA reported.

Presidential press office said BNA, as per of the documents, Afghanistan and Pakistan jointly construct a hydro-power dam on Kunar River.

Based on the agreement, the construction work of a railroad between Chaman- Spin Buldak and Peshawar-Jalalabad will be speed up.

According to the document, Pakistan will complete all its incomplete projects which include the construction work of Tourkham –Jalalabad highway.

Afghanistan will provide necessary facilities for transmitting Tajikistan and Kirghizstan’s power via Afghan soil to Pakistan as well as transporting Pakistan’s commercial goods to central Asian countries.
