KABUL: (MEP) Officials in eastern Nangarhar province said at least 19 members of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist group were killed in an airstrike on Friday afternoon.
A drone strike targeted a group of ISIS militants in Achin district, Provincial governor spokesman Ataullah Khogyani added, however he did not comment regarding the beheadings.
He further added that four senior commanders of the ISIS loyalists were among those killed in the airstrike but the exact number of ISIS casualties has not been determined so far.
Meanwhile, the local residents who were forced to watch the brutal executions, have said the airstrike targeted the ISIS members after they were beheading the seven hostages who also included six members of Taliban, in the same area.
