KABUL: (MEP) A group of 17 ISIS elements were killed in US drone strikes in eastern Nangarhar province on Saturday.
At least 8 airstrikes were launched in Deh Bala district of the province, a statement by the Ministry of Defense (MoD) said.
The airstrike cause no casualties on civilians, the statement added.
This comes as Afghan and foreign troops have increased their attacks on anti-government insurgents across the country, especially in Nangarhar province in which ISIS elements are presently active in ke districts of the province.
According to reports, a key commander of the group was also killed along with ten others in a similar raid in Achin district on Friday.
