American Soldier Killed In Clashes With ISIS In Afghanistan
MEP: America’s Defense Ministry has confirmed the killing of an American soldier in an operation against the ISIS/ISIL terrorist group in eastern Nangarhar province of Afghanistan.
The Pentagon did not disclose the soldier’s identity by publishing a statement, but said that the soldier was of America’s Army Special Forces.
Although the US Defense Department did not reveal the exact time and manner of death of this soldier but the press office of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) in Afghanistan, told the Middle East Press the soldier was killed on Saturday 8 April in Nangarhar province.
The soldier was initially wounded and later died due to the severe injuries.
The ISIS terrorist group has wide activities in parts of eastern Nangarhar province and the American military forces also increased their air raids against the group.
US military casualties in operations against the terrorist group rarely happen in Afghanistan.
