An American soldier kills in Wardak Province

KABUL: (MEP) The Pentagon says a 37-year-old soldier from Virginia has been killed in an enemy attack in Afghanistan, Associated Press reported.

The Department of Defense said Master Sgt. George A. Bannar Jr. of Orange died Tuesday of injuries he suffered when his unit was attacked with small arms fire in Wardak Province.

Fort Bragg soldier from Orange, also Banner was assigned to the 3rd Battalion 3rd Special Forces Group at Fort Bragg, N.C.
