Big Quantity of Money Assisted For Supporting Football in Afghanistan
KABUL: (MEP) – a monetary fund was opened the other day for supporting football in Afghanistan, BNA reported.
In a ceremony held in this regard Dr. Zakhilwal, minister of finance said, “Unity and solidarity of the country’s national football team have shown that national unity guarantees success, adding as a representative of the government I promise any kind of cooperation with national football team and other sections of sports and I’m appreciating national businessmen for supporting the country’s football team.
“Afterwards, Keramuddin Keram, chairman of the country’s football federation said, “With close cooperation of Afghanistan chambers of commerce and industries and for supporting the country’s football, football federation has set up a monetary fund which will be monitored by an independent board, adding the board is formed from head of the country’s football federation, members of parliament Shukira Barakzai, Afghanistan football league commissioner, national football team’s coach Yousif Kargar and chairman for Afghanistan chambers of commerce and industries.
At the ceremony, Mohammad Zahir Aghbar, head of National Olympic Committee, Afghanistan chambers of commerce and industries chairman Mohammad Qurban Haqjo and deputy of ACCI Khanjan Alakozai spoke related to need of setting up the fund and improvement of football in the country.
