BMC Celebrates International Women’s Day

KABUL: (MEP) – The Bayat Media Center on Saturday organized an event celebrating the International Women’s Day with distributing gifts among all female staff of the center.

International Women’s Day is marked on 8th March every year in different countries of the world.

The ceremony held in this occasion was attended by the founder and chairman of Bayat Foundation Dr. Ehsanullah Bayat, AWCC officials and the female staff of Ariana Television and AWCC.

In his address to the participants, the AWCC director Amin Ramin said besides employment opportunities, AWCC had also provided training to its female staff on management, accounting, engineering, and telecommunication areas.

He mentioned more than two hundred women are working at the Bayat Media Center.

Present at the event, the acting managing director of ATN Azizullah Arral expressed in his speech that despite gains in women’s rights, still the women of Afghanistan are facing different types of violence and are still the vulnerable sector.
