CEO Hails The Heads Of The Country’s Olympic Committee With Awards
MEP: Abdullah Abdullah, Chief Executive of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan met with the delegation of the National Olympic Committee of heads of federations, coaches and sports elite praised in all areas.
Mr. Abdullah awarded the President of the Olympic Committee and heads of federations with certificates.
Chief Executive Officer welcomed the selection of General Mohammad Zahir Aghbar as the best chief of Olympic committee in Asia.
He said: As a team, a person or head of the Olympic committee in the world to be honored, proud of it belongs to the people of Afghanistan.
In his turn, Aghbar insisted that the sports society does not belong to a specific ethnic group or political movement but belongs to the whole nation of Afghanistan.
He added that athletes endure all the difficulties and problems they are trying to bring Afghan flag raised at the global level.
He also urged the Chief Executive to take immediate actions to prevent internal differences in the Olympics Committee and the formation of a parallel committee as per the law.
The heads of federations of National Olympic Committee expressed concerned of internal disputes, political interference, creation of a parallel Olympic Committee, lack of funding, lack of coordination and support of athletes.
