Chevron To Lay Off Thousands Saudi Workers

KABUL: (MEP) Chevron was forced to lay off large numbers of workers due to financial crisis because this company did not receive its debts from Ministry of Petroleum of Saudi Arabia.

According to the report, several months after the cessation of activities of Saudi Chevron company in the neutral zone between Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, Chevron was forced to lay off about 964 of its workers without pay since this company did not receive its debts from Ministry of Petroleum of Saudi Arabia and was unable to pay the salary to its employees.

Meanwhile, during the past month, two other Saudi housing production companies were forced to suspend their activities due to inability to pay workers’ salaries. It is noteworthy that IMF officials had frequently warned Saudi & the Persian Gulf countries budget deficit.
