KABUL: (MEP) Clashes broke out between Taliban and the security forces in northern Sar-e-Pul province, on Wednesday in which at least ten Taliban insurgents were killed and four other were injured.
The clashes took place in Somas Qala and Sayad districts of the province in which a local police commander and four other officers were also killed, Mohammad Zahir Wahdat, Provincial Governor said.
According to Wahdat, clashes still continue in Sayad district of the province and reinforcements have deployed to the area.
No more details about the clashes were given.
The Taliban has not so far commented on the clashes.
