‘Daesh Rebels Do Not Have Enough Knowledge About Islam’
MEP: According to obtained documents by US forces in recent years, Associated Press has reported an analytical article on how Daesh (ISIS/ISIL) selects and recruits its members.
It shows that 70 percent of forces attracted to ISIS have basic knowledge of Islam, 24 percent have intermediate knowledge. Only five percent of recruits were considered as having advanced knowledge of Islam.
Those interested in joining ISIS were asked to rank their knowledge of the Islamic faith on a scale of one to three.
A former member of the Central Intelligence Agency of America also known as CIA and expert on Middle East extremism said “these volunteers joined ISIS because of their need for a sense of attachment.
They desire changes and excitement more than following Islam. It is interesting to mention that the majority of ISIS members are citizens of Saudi Arabia.”
