Deadly Attacks Thwarted in Kandahar Province

KABUL: (Middle East Press) Two Zaranj Rickshaws and a motorcycle full of explosives have been detained by Afghan police in southern Kandahar province late Saturday.

According to Kandahar media office,  terrorists planned to carry out deadly attacks in Kandahar province but their plans have been caught.

Five militants were arrested in connection with the explosives in Sozikar area of Dand district, Muhibullah a Taliban commander was also among the five arrested.

Kandahar Media Center adds that in another action police seized 45 Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) in Maiwand district of the province.
