Elderly man hit by police vehicle in Kabul

An ageing old man lost his life after being hit by a police ranger vehicle in Karte Mamoreen area of Kabul on Sunday.

Witnesses said the white-bearded man was walking in the sidetrack when a police Ranger vehicle while moving the opposite direction collided with the man.

According to eyewitnesses, the man died instantly and the police members inside the vehicle did not take any notice of the man and fled the area.

However, security officials in Kabul have said they are trying to identify and arrest people using police uniforms caused the accident.
