Explosion Hits Turkish Police Compound In Diyarbakir
MEP: At least four people were injured, one seriously, in the Tuesday morning explosion targeted near the riot police headquarters in Turkey’s largest Kurdish-majority city of Diyarbakir just days before a key referendum on boosting President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s powers.
Ambulances were seen rushing to the scene, according to Reuters who cited “security sources.”
The explosion happened in the central, largely residential district of Baglar, Reuters reported.
It’s the same neighbourhod where a car bombing by suspected Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) militants last November wounded scores of people.

Police have also issued a warning to those in the vicinity of the explosions to keep all windows and doors shut due to a potential gas leak as a result of the blast, according to local media.
