Four Civilians Wounded In Mazar-e-Sharif Blast

MEP: As a result of a remote control bomb blast in Mazar-e Sharif, capital of Balkh province four civilians were wounded, police said.

Abdul Rezaq Qaderi, head of Balkh police chief security officer told the Middle East Press, the incident took place at around 12:25 am on Sunday near the gate of Mazar-e Sharif in the second police district of Balkh city.

He said the incident was raised by a remote control bomb aimed to hit the Jawzjan police Ranger, as a result, four civilians were injured.

According to Qaderi, those wounded in the blast were addicts who were present in the area.

However, witnesses say two addicts were killed in the blast.

No group claimed responsibility for the attack.
