Gas pipeline project contributes sustainability to Afghanistan’s economy

KABUL: (MEP) – The Gas pipeline project that will provide a passageway for a gas pipeline through Afghanistan soil to Pakistan and then India will bring increased stability to Afghanistan’s economy.

The Ministry of Gas and Petroleum spokesman said, ”We have signed an agreement under the supervision of Asian Development Bank that will benefit the Governments of Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and India.  According to the document, everyone will share equally in the benefits from this project.”

Officials of the power production company Breshna said, “We have already more than one thousand customers for the KASA project.”  They declined to give more details about the project.
