General Dostum meets Turkish prime ministerMEP: First Vice-President met with Turkish Prime Minister at the Palace of Cankaya in Turkey’s capital, Ankara.

The meeting was reportedly held behind closed doors and only one photograph of the meeting was taken by the media.

Turkey’s Anatolia news agency reported, citing the prime minister’s sources that Biennale Yildirim has appreciated Abdul Rashid Dostum and the Afghan government for showing solidarity with the people and government of Turkey in response to a failed coup on 15 July.

During the meeting, Yildirim stressed on the importance and support, the stability and security of Afghanistan to Turkey saying “the friendly relations between the two countries in all areas will continue.”

Abdul Rashid Dostum, also noting the importance of Turkey in regional stability, stressed that he will continue the efforts to improve relations between the two countries in all areas.

This comes as the Islamic Movement party after winning the Turkish government against the rebels, held protests and somehow expressed their joy.
