KABUL: (Middle East Press) According to the statement of the Presidential Office, President Ashraf Ghani left Kabul early Tuesday for Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, to attend the 18th South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) meeting.

Ghani will be visiting Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi in Nepal.

The statement further added that the Indian Prime Minister is said to speak with Ghani on the sidelines of SAARC.

This is the third time that Nepal is organizing the SAARC. The last was in 1997 and 2002.

It is expected that the Foreign Ministers of the SAARC will be holding a conference on Tuesday, and on Wednesday the leaders will be presented as well.
