Head of Parwan Ulema council was killed and 7 student received injuries because of explosion of a bomb being placed at a classroom in a religious Madrasa in Charikar city, the capital of Parwan province.

Head of Parwan Ulema council was killed and 7 student received injuries because of explosion of a bomb being placed at a classroom in a religious Madrasa in Charikar city, the capital of Parwan province.

“The bomb went off at around 8:00 am Today Wednesday, 9 May, inside the classroom” Memozi Mohammad Zaman, the provincial police commander, told the Middle East Press

He added the bomb was placed under the mattress in the teaching-and-work room of Mr. Mawlavi Abdul Rahim Shah Hanafi.

“The explosion left the head of Ulama council killed and 6 student injured but the physical health of the injured students are okay” Memozi said

Regarding the incident, 4 of the security guards being responsible of round the clock school guarding were arrested and the investigations are going on the provincial police commander added.

No group has claimed the responsibility of the attack yet.
