High Peace Council must be closed
Kabul: (MEP) – Wolesi Jirga – A number of representatives at the lower house have harshly criticized the High Peace Council saying that Taliban is not interested in peace talks.
Also, some of the representatives called on closing the High Peace Council and were insisting on moving the peace talks from the council to parliament
Peace is one of the most important issues in Afghanistan but even the government is not able to find a way to achieve it said the deputes.
In addition, Member of the parliament, Manawar Shah Bahaduri said that Afghan government must movie the peace talk to the Parliament.
Bahaduri added that there is no reliance on foreign countries and High Peach Council
Speaker of the Parliament, Abdul Raof Ibrahimi added that Taliban does not have strong will for peace and it is most likely that it won’t join the peace talks.
Another concern for the representatives in the Parliament is the foreign troops withdraw in the next year. According to representatives, not all of the American soldiers should be withdrawn at once.
