India cooperate heavy weapons to Afghanistan by long-term supports
KABUL: (MEP) – President Hamid Karzai’s visit to New Delhi has been successful, gaining India’s commitments for further cooperation with Afghanistan, says the Presidential spokesman.
The presidential spokesman evaluated the four day trip of President Karzai to India as a positive trip.
President Karzai in his recent trip to New Delhi met with the president, prime minister, foreign minister and security advisor of India.
These meetings were considered as developmental to the cooperation of the two countries within the framework of a strategic alliance, Ariana news reported.
India confirmed that it will provide military aid to Afghanistan following earlier requests of Kabul.
New Delhi agreed that it would provide light and heavy weapons for the Afghan military.
India’s readiness to help Afghan army is advantageous but may provoke the anger of Pakistan because Pakistan does not want India and Afghanistan to have a friendly relationship.
