Kabul Municipality inaugurates recreational park
KABUL: (MEP) – A recreational park was inaugurated on Monday in Rahman Mina area of Kabul city.
According to Pajhwok Afghan News (PAN), the park is constructed over one acre of land at a cost of USD 95,000.
The facility consists of football and volleyball stadiums.
Municipality spokesperson Abdul Qadir Arzu told PAN that work on nine more recreational parks and a female bazaar was under way.
This comes as a number of Kabul residents had complained to the government about the absence of recreational park for families.
According to some residents, there is only a limited number of Public Park which are usually occupied by stray boys or drug addicts, who make it difficult for women to have some privacy and to enjoy their time.
