Kandahar Sucide Attack Leaves District Police Chief Dead
KABUL: (Middle East Press) following a suicide attack in southern Kandahar province District police chief for Arghistan was killed.
According to local government officials, the incident took place around 9:30 pm local time leaving the district police chief Abdul Manaf dead along with two policemen.
Provincial police spokesman, Zia Durani said at least six policemen were also injured following the suicide attack.
Durani further added that the injured policemen were shifted to hospital and their health condition have reported as satisfactory.
He said the suicide bomber blew up his explosives after he managed to enter the district police department.
No group including the Taliban insurgents has claimed responsibility behind the incident so far.
