Karzai To Issue Decree On Neutrality Of Government In Runoff
KABUL: (MEP) – President Hamid Karzai has once again called on the government officials to avoid favoring in the elections, saying he will issue a new decree in this regard.
In his radio message to the nation, President Hamid Karzai on Friday called on the government authorities to protect their neutrality in the coming second round of Presidential Election.
President also asked the entire nation to have full participation in the runoff election and vote their desired candidate.
Appreciating the successful first round of polls held in April 5, President Karzai stated the Afghans showed to the world that they can defend their rights.
“April 5 voting was a great pride for Afghanistan and this pride was achieved because of your participation in the elections,” President praised the nation for making April 5 voting successful.
President Karzai’s statement on neutrality of government officials came after Independent Election Commission presented to President Hamid Karzai a list of government officials to be sacked from their positions over electoral frauds.
