Kunduz – Baghlan Highway Reopened To Traffic
MEP: As a result of security forces operation, the highway of Kunduz – Baghlan that was blocked yesterday by the armed Taliban, had re-opened to traffic on Tuesday.
Abdul Satar Barez, the governor of Baghlan at a press conference on Tuesday afternoon, stated that the highway was blocked by the Taliban in Jarkhushk area.
Concurrent with the massive attacks of the armed Taliban on Kunduz city, members of this group, in parts of Baghlan province also showed stagnant as a result of these movements and clashes with security forces, 11 Taliban members were killed and 23 others injured, Barez added.
According to him, the armed Taliban attacks in parts of central Baghlan district and and suburban of Pul-e-Khumri was started and is still continuing.
In this conflict, three ANA soldiers were also killed and seven others wounded, Barez further added.
Taliban have also said that they have seized two security posts in Fabrika area.
However, the remarks did not approve or reject by Baghlan local and officials.
