Lab Equipment for Afghan Universities
Kabul: (MEP) – The World Bank has assisted lab equipment worth 700,000 $ to Afghanistan’s universities.
The equipment and tools were handed over in a ceremony to Ministry of Higher Education yesterday. In the ceremony, Dr. Obaidullah Obaid while praising the bank for its assistance said, “The equipment which are suited with international standards and high quality have been bought from Holland and will pave the way to instructors and students to use them in various practical and academic researches which are important to higher education institutions.”
He further said, “Equipment of universities which are in the top priority of the ministry are to be completed next week, adding that there are nearly 35 laboratories in various universities of country such as Kabul, Polytechnics, Ustad Rabbani Education University, Nangarhar, Herat, Kandahar, Balkh, Takhar, Al-Beroni, Khost, Bamyan and Jawzjan Universities, that will be equipped by the equipment assisted by the bank”
It should be mentioned that a number of labs were also equipped with standard equipment last week. Meanwhile, the World Bank has also assisted three vehicles to MoHE, reported BNA.
