Lebanese Army Arrests Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi’s Wife
KABUL: (Middle East Press) According to reports Lebanese authorities have arrested one of the wives of the head of the Takfiri ISIL insurgents group on Lebanon’s border with Syria.
Citing Lebanese security sources, local daily As-Safir and Reuters reported Tuesday that Lebanese Army Intelligence made the arrest in cooperation with Western intelligence agencies.
The report further added that Ibrahim al-Samarrai (aka Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi)’s wife has been detained “at one of the border crossings while traveling with a false passport with her son.”
It said that she is being interrogated at the Lebanese Defense Ministry, without identifying the arrestees by name.
The Lebanese army has not commented on the arrest.
