Marshal to be laid to rest in Badam Bagh

KABUL: (MEP) – Marshal Muhammad Qasim Fahim’s funeral will take place in Badam Bagh hill on Tuesday.

The commission for the burial of Marshal Fahim said that they have ensured all necessary measures are in place for the funeral to be held on Tuesday.

Security institutions also announced that arrangements have been made for the funeral.

Kabul Municipality has also been engaged in preparing the grave and cleaning up the roads for the funeral.

Marshal Fahim’s funeral will begin with a special ceremony by the Military and the Defense Ministry in the citadel area and then move across to the grave where he will be laid to rest in the Badam Bagh area of Kabul.

The government had announced three days state mourning, beginning today. During the time of mourning, throughout the country the national flag is to fly at half-mast as a sign of respect to the departed leader.
