Mine Blast in Khost Leaves 5 Civilians Wounded

Five civilians were injured as a result of a remote-controlled mine blast in the PD2 of Khost city, center of Khost province.

Khost police spokesman Adel Haidar told MEP that the incident happened around noon today Thursday, December 26, close to Mujaheddin Square in the PD2 of the Khost city.

The mine was set to target a convoy of security forces, which left five civilians injured but no security forces wounded in the incident.

The injured were taken to the central hospital, according to the spokesman.

No one or group has claimed responsibility for the incident so far.
