Ministers Impeachment Process To Continue

MEP: Central Control Commission firmly states to Parliament that, government efforts to stop the impeachment process and this process does not have legal means, therefore the process will continue.

Ghulam Hussain Naseri, a member of parliament on behalf of Maidan Wardak people and a member of the Central Control Commission in talks with Middle East Press said that this trend will continue as preset programs.

According to him all the necessary documents about cutting 1394 solar year that was delayed to parliament will be investigated by the Central Control Commission and there has been no negligence in this regard.

Nasseri added that the decision to impeach ministers who have spent less than 70 percent of their development budgets, taken by the majority of MPs and the process to complete and clear all the ministers’ impeachment will continue.

This program is a rigorous and legal program and does not influence any political views, he further added.

Source stressed that “the government cannot stop the process and the remarks last night announced by deputy presidential spokesman, is completely unfounded and decisions taken by cutting the Ministry of Finance.”

This comes as last night President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani with the Administrative Board and heads of parliamentary commissions met and briefed about the development budget, while the presidential statement reads: “According to the information mentioned in Article 92 of the constitution, the reasons for the impeachment of the president’s cabinet ministers, especially Foreign Minister deemed unjustified.”

In other parts, the statement said, “Since the honorable representatives of Parliament in relation to the functioning of the Cabinet of Ministers on the budget this year are not at full brightness, is expected to postpone the process of impeachment of ministers until sufficient information is provided.”

Ghulam Hussain Naseri stressed that efforts of government to stop the impeachment or challenge it will have no effect on the decision of representatives of the people, because this is the right of people.
