Mujahideen Aspirations Must Be Kept Alive

MEP: Simultaneous with the third year of Marshal Mohammad Qasim Fahim’s death, emphasized on keeping alive the ideals of jihad and resistance and the Mujahedeen of Afghanistan.

Today (8 March) is the third martyrdom of Marshal Mohammad Qasim Fahim, First Vice President of Hamid Karzai.

In this day and to celebrate and remember the name of Marshal Fahim, a ceremony attended by Jihadi leaders, Hamid Karzai, former president and CEO Abdullah was held in the Loya Jirga hall tent.

Hamid Karzai, in the event mentioned Marshal Fahim’s indescribable perseverance and stated that he did not discriminate against the Afghan people and had the view of considering Afghanistan “a home for all the Afghan people”.

He cited a variety of Marshal Fahim and stressed that his death was an irreparable loss for Afghanistan.

At the same time, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) said that Marshal Fahim was a good and virtuous leader in the ranks of the Mujahideen.

“When the leaders of jihad and resistance are remembered, justice and solidarity of Afghan society is expressed and this suggests that the aspiration of Mujahidden should always be alive,” he added.

Meanwhile, Haji Mohammad Mohaqeq, Executive Vice President said the death of Marshal Fahim as the martyrdom of other jihadi leaders, was an irreparable blow on the body of Afghanistan.

He also insisted on keeping alive the ideals of Mujahideen and stated that strengthening national unity and integrity of Mujahideen can pave the way out of the current challenges facing the country.

A number of other speakers at the event also stressed on the integrity and unity of the people and keeping alive the ideals of the Mujahideen.

Marshal Mohammad Qasim Fahim, died of a heart attack in Kabul three years ago.
