No Danger Threats Kunduz And Baghlan: Interior Minister

MEP: While the people of Baghlan and Kunduz burn in the fire of war and living conditions are difficult, the interior Minister during his visit to Baghlan province, said the two provinces have no security problem and the situation is under control.

Taj Mohammad Jahid, Minister of Interior in the past two days traveled in the restive provinces of Kunduz and Baghlan and provided information about the security situation in the provinces.

“No security problem threats Kunduz and Baghlan provinces, and the situation is under control,” Jahid told elders and representatives of the people in Baghlan province.

Soon the Taliban are suppressed by security forces, he said.

Interior Minister after returning from Kunduz and during his visit of the security checkpoints in Baghlan province, said the armed Taliban have failed in their plan, while this group decided to capture large cities and centers in the first six months of this year but did not succeed.

The senior security official assured that security will soon be obtained in northeastern parts of the restive provinces and the Taliban will be defeated.

The Interior Minister’s statement comes as the armed Taliban in that six days ago have occupied the city of Kunduz and from that time until now, the city and the surrounding districts have been at war and people’s lives are deprived of basic facilities.

Also Baghlan province and the city of Pul-e Khumri have witnessed conflict, war and Taliban offensive attack since two days onward.

Residents of Kunduz and Baghlan provinces also say that the war has reached at the gate of the provinces and government has no program in destruction of the armed opposition groups.
