Obama Congratulates Karzai On Afghanistan’s 95th Independence Day
KABUL: (Middle East Press) Barack Obama US President has congratulated his equivalent President Hamid Karzai on the 95th independence day of Afghanistan.
The presidential palace media office added, a letter was sent by President Barack Obama to his counterpart President Hamid Karzai, greeting him and the Afghan nations on the 95th independence day of Afghanistan.
Obama saluted the Afghan people, both men and women, who went in millions to vote and take part in a democratic process.
He restated Washington’s support to Afghanistan and said the United State is waiting to view the outcome of the elections.
Obama also vowed long term support by Washington to reconstruction of Afghanistan.
Afghanistan achieved full independence from the reigns of British Empire in 1919 and Afghan people is celebrating its 95th Independence Day on Tuesday which is equal to 19th of August.
