Paghman Gang-rape Case Assessment Threw in Kabul Court

KABUL: (Middle East Press) The trial of Paghman gang-rape case thrown up in Kabul court on Sunday amid demonstration by campaigners calling for immediate execution of the convicts.

The case was referred to Supreme Court of Afghanistan by Attorney General Office on Saturday after Kabul police completed the review.

Attorney General Office spokesman, Basir Azizi, told reporters on Saturday that the chief justice will issue a verdict soon.

Afghan President Hamid Karzai has said he is personally following the case and will immediately sign the death sentence of the perpetrators once the chief justice issues a verdict.
