Peace Agreement With Hekmatyar To Sign Thursday

MEP: The text of the Memorandum of Understanding of Islamic Party Peace, will be signed on Thursday between the Afghan delegation and the delegation of the party, an official said.

“The memorandum of understanding that is expected to be signed tomorrow, its text has been finalized and will be presented to the Islamic party leaders and the government after signature” Mohammad Ismail Qasimyar, a member of the High Peace Council told the Middle East Press.

This Memorandum of Understanding will be signed by the negotiating delegation and signing of the head of the High Peace Council will be mentioned as well, he said.

As part of the agreement states: “Since the immediate end of the war, the establishment of lasting peace and security and justice in Afghanistan, the essential demands and ensure the nation’s survival in Afghanistan, is the responsibility of individual nations to realize the aspirations of Afghanistan. ”

Meanwhile, Mohammad Sarwar Danish, Second Vice President also met this morning with America’s special representative for Afghanistan and America stated that the imminent agreement with the Islamist party would make an important contribution towards peace in Afghanistan.

It is noteworthy that peace talks with Hezb-e Islami led by Gulbuddin Hekmatyar had been started about six months ago between the government and the party.
