Polio Vaccination Center in Nangarhar Set On Fire

MEP: A number of irresponsible armed individuals have reportedly torched a polio vaccination center in Bati Kot district of Nangarhar province and fled from the area.

Attaullah Khogyani, Nangarhar governor’s spokesman told the Middle East Press, the incident happened last night at a local health clinic in Chahardehy region.

He said the irresponsible gunmen fled after setting fire to the center and investigations to trace them also started.

Khogyani stated that as a result of the fire at the center, some of the materials required of polio have destroyed but had no fatalities.

The three-day immunization campaign of Polio, started in Nangarhar province yesterday.
