President Ghani Promises to Increase Teachers’ Earnings

KABUL: (Middle East Press) President Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai has promised that the government is committed to develop the living condition of the teachers and promised to arrange a piece of land and for each teacher and increase their salaries.

Speaking during an occasion to mark the teacher’s day, President Ghani said the government is committed to fulfill its commitments within the next six months.

Meanwhile, President Ghani insisted that the teachers and lecturers should completely engage and assist the government in its efforts to attempt the growing corruption in the country.

He said the new objective of the government is to improve the education system of the country within the next five years.

President Ghani also emphasized that both the Afghan men and women should have equal opportunities and said violence against women would not be acceptable.

He said the government is eager to provide more opportunities for the children to have better access to education. “Our priorities are to raise the quality of education through heavy investment, enroll every kid to school & honor our Teachers,” Dr. Ghani said.
