So-called “Green on Blue Attack” left 6 afghan national police soldier killed in Zabul

Local official in Zabul province said a police force after shooting 6 of his fellows dead in Shinki city of Zabul, joined armed Taliban.

“The incident took place at the security post in Shinki city last night” Afghanmal Besmellah, the Zabul provincial governor spokesman, told the Middle East Press

As he said in this insider attack a police soldier shot 6 other police soldiers dead.

The killer fellow then fled from the security post Afghanmal added.

Some local sources also said the attacker police was part of Taliban who had infiltrated into police ranks and after finishing his task returned to Taliban.

Ahmadi Qari Yusef, armed Taliban spokesman, in his Twitter posted the attacker had taken some equipment of the security post with him.

So-called green on blue attacks or Taliban infiltrators in security forces in general and national police in particular has not been rare: 2 months ago, one infiltrator had killed 9 other fellows in Ali Abad city of Kunduz when he joined Taliban.
