Taliban Attacks Ghormach District of Faryab
KABUL: (Middle East Press) Taliban militants have reportedly launched a coordinated attack on Ghormach district of northern Faryab province early Sunday after heavy clashes with security forces.
A source who requested anonymity, said that a number of security posts and district governor’s compound fell by Taliban militants after heavy clashes with security forces.
The source said that government employees have been moved to a military base in the district which is also now surrounded by militants.
The source added that urgent air support is required, otherwise Taliban will also seize the military base.
