Taliban Deputy Shadow Governor For Kunduz Province Killed

MEP: Security officials in the northern zone of the country say Taliban deputy shadow governor for Kunduz province was killed.

Sheraziz Kamawal, Spin Zar 808 zone police commander, said in a drone strike in Dashti Archi district of Kunduz province, 24 armed Taliban members were killed, including several foreigners.

He added that among those killed, Maulawi Shamsuddin deputy governor of armed Taliban in Kunduz, Asadullah Mazlom, Taliban district chief for Imam Sahib District, Shah Wali, one of the famous heads of the group in Kunduz and 3 foreign nationals are included.

Maulawi Shamsuddin previously served as Taliban military commander in Kunduz and recently had been introduced as deputy governor to the Taliban in the province.

General Commander of the Police in the northern zone of the country, further added that the air strike was launched on Friday afternoon in the village of Mula-Qoli of Dashti Archi district.
