Taliban refuses participation in Paktika attack
KABUL: (Middle East Press) the Taliban militant group refused involvement behind the deadly suicide attack in eastern Paktika province which has caused 89 civilians dead.
Taliban group spokesman, Zabiullah Mujahid, said the Taliban militants are not involved in Paktika incident.
Mujahid claimed that the Taliban militants always take actions to protect the lives of the ordinary civilians and it is not in the interest of the group to launch such violence.
According to security officials at least 89 people including women and children were killed after a suicide bomber exploded a vehicle packed with explosives in a busy market in Orgun district.
Orgun district chief, Mohammad Raziq Khroti said the blast took place near a mosque and Madrasa where a huge number of people were presented.
Defense ministry spokesman Gen. Zahir Azimi said at least 42 people who were injured following the incident were transferred to Orgun national hospital.
