Teenage girl gang-raped in Sar-e-Pul Province
KABUL: (MEP) – A seventeen-year-old girl was gang-raped by a group of five people in northern province of Sar-i-Pul.
The victim, Bibi Shireen, said she received a phone call from an unknown number Sunday night around 11:30pm where a man introduced him as her brother and asked her to open the door.
When she opened the door, Shireen added a man attacked her, taped her mouth shut and took her to an unknown place where she was sexually assaulted by five men.
“A group of people took me to an unknown place around 11:30 pm and brought me back to my own street at one o’clock. I want the government to hang them to death,” the victim said.
The police chief of Sar-i-Pul confirmed the incident, saying three of the rapists have been detained by the cooperation of locals, Ariana news reported.
“Three of the rapists have been detained after identified by the family and relatives of the victim,” said Abdul Raouf Taj.
Recently, the women’s affairs director of Sar-i-Pul reported of sharp increase in the violence against women in the Northern Province.
