‘War In Afghanistan Isn’t Managed By Armed Taliban’

MEP: The leadership of war in Afghanistan is not the responsibility of the armed Taliban but the international masters and intelligence are involved in the conflict and manage the war.

Speaking at a joint conference on Monday with the spokespersons of the Ministry of Interior and Defense, a spokesman for the President stated that the war in Afghanistan is complex and its leadership is not in the hands of the armed Taliban.

Haroon Chakhansuri at the meeting added that the management of the war in Afghanistan doesn’t run by the Taliban and their foreign masters and intelligence led war zone.

While he did not name a country, Chakhansuri further noted that the Taliban’s foreign supporters consult with this group and fully equip them to continue their war.

This comes as before Pakistani intelligence in the financing, equipping and the leadership of the Afghan war had been accused.

Meanwhile, Chakhansuri said the aim of continuing the war and its intensity coincide with Brussels summit, undermining the achievements of the people and government in recent years that security forces are ready to contain it.

The spokesman for President stressed that based on the guidance of the President, the decision was taken to provide further assistance to the effected provinces and to give more authority for security officials in these provinces to make immediate decisions.

He added that security officials in the provinces are told to pay special attention to protect life and property of civilians during their operations.

On the other hand, Interior Ministry spokesman Sediq Sediqi said that the reason behind slow clean-up operations in the provinces of Kunduz and Helmand are the Taliban using human shields.

He stressed that the security forces in the past three days had good achievements and in this period, 22 prominent Taliban commanders, including Qari Shamsullah, shadow governor for Takhar province were killed.

While the armed Taliban announced their arrival in Lashkar Gah city of Helmand and claimed that a number security checkpoints in the city have come under their control but security officials reject the claim.
