What Benefits Saudis To Pursue On Ignoring Palestinian-Israeli Conflict?
KABUL: (MEP) According to Israeli news website Almasdar, in the past, Saudi Arabia was the first country to condemn new round of conflict between the Palestinians and Israel, actually that was a political gesture for the House of Saud.
According to Almasadr website, Saudis because of their dominance on Arab and Islamic media with magnification of its role in Palestine intend to maintain their hostile gesture toward Israel. Moreover, Saudi Arabia has financially supported many of the various jihadist groups and terrorist organizations for many years which sparked the Arab-Israeli conflict but Saudi media has been strangely silent in the past month on new round of Israeli–Palestinian conflict in the West Bank.
Asharq Al-Awsat is the Leading Arab International Newspaper run by Saudi Arabia. This Newspaper dedicated its front Page for Oct. 11, 2015 which read, “Yemen, Syria and Russia’s intervention in Syria are important issues for Saudi regime. No news cannot be seen on Palestinian-Israeli conflict on the front pages of the newspaper nor Al-Arabiya TV website nor the Gulf News.”
Based on Almasdar, Saudi silence on Israeli-Palestinian conflict in compare to wide coverage by Al Jazeera has a clear message to Tel Aviv. The Israeli newspaper went on to discuss these questions: What is the reason behind Saudi silence? Does this silence confirm the argument that there is a secret alliance between Saudi Arabia and Israel in Yemen, Syria and Iraq or not?
