Where Exactly Is Nilofar Rahmani? Afghanistan Or America

MEP: While the American media announces that Nilofar Rahmani, the country’s only female military pilot did not return home, But the Ministry of Defense rejected the report saying Ms. Rahmani currently acts in the country.

Foreign media on Saturday morning published reports and pictures of Ms Rahmani, claimed that she does want to return Afghanistan after completing a training course in the US state of Texas.

“I still want to be a military pilot, but not under the flag of my country (Afghanistan). Because something has not changed for a better future in Afghanistan,” The New York Times reported, quoting Ms Rahmani as saying.

However, the Ministry of Defence strongly reacts in this regard.

Mohammad Radmanesh, deputy spokesman for the Ministry of National Defense told the Middle East Press that Nilofar Rahmani is in Afghanistan and performs her duty in the ranks of the security forces.

He said “Ms Rahmani is already presented in the air component and the reports of her non-retuned in the country is completely false.”

Nilofar Rahmani, the country’s only Air Force female pilot has had participated in several missions in the country. However she did not comment on the report so far.

Its noteworthy that Ms Rahmani has won the International Women of Courage Award in Washington in 2015.
