Woman Executed By Her Ex-Husband In Badghis
MEP: A man who was in the ranks of the armed Taliban, on the order of their district chief for Ab-Kamari District of Badghis province, has killed his wife, an official said.
Zarghuna Sherzad, head of women’s affairs in Badghis province said, the incident happened on Sunday evening in Dayzangy area.
The eighteen-year old ‘Aziza’ was killed after her first husband, who divorced her three years before, went to her house and opened fire on her, added Mrs Sherzad.
Mohammad Yousuf, her first husband three years ago went to Iran and divorced Aziza during the trip by his lawyer, according to Sherzad.
Meanwhile, Mohammad Nasir Nazari, Badghis provincial council member said the 18 year old girl was executed after marrying a man three years ago and her husband went to Iran for work. After a while, he hired one of his relatives as his lawyer and divorced his wife… after the divorce, Aziza got married with another man.
Nazari added that after three years, her ex-husband (Mohammad Yousuf) came in the region and claimed that she was divorced and married another man without his consent, therefore the armed Taliban court’s ruling issued the “subtraction” of her and her new husband.
According to Mr Nazari, after the verdict, a number of individuals affiliated with the Mullah Esmat, the Taliban district chief for Ab-Kamari District stormed to the home of Aziza’s father and killed him.
