2 killed, 8 injured in Kandahar wedding blast

KABUL: (MEP) – In the recent tow civilians were killed and eight others injured when a car related to a wedding party convoy hit a roadside mine in southern province of Kandahar, an official said Sunday.

The incident took place in Shirali Kariz area of the province, where a vehicle carrying women and children struck a mine, the provincial officials blamed the Taliban to have planted–killing two people and wounding eight including women and children, governor spokesman, Jawid Faisal said in a statement, Wakht news reported.

The spokesman blamed the Taliban for being behind the incident, but no comment had been still made by the rebels in this respect.
