30 Taliban Killed, Injured in Military Operations

KABUL: (Middle East Press) Following military operations which were jointly conducted by Afghan national security forces, left at least 19 Taliban insurgents dead and 11 others injured in the past 24 hours.

The Ministry of Interior (MoI) said following a statement, the operations were conducted in Kunduz, Faryab, Badakhshan, Sar-e-Pul, Ghazni, Herat and Ghor provinces.

The statement further added Afghan National Police conducted the anti-terrorism joint operations with Afghan National Army and NDS to clean some of the areas from insurgents groups.

At least 5 terrorists were detained by Afghan National Security Forces, MoI said, adding that Afghan National Police discovered and confiscated light and heavy rounds ammunition during the operations.

“During the same 24 hour period, Afghan National Police discovered and defused 32 different types of IEDs in Faryab, Kandahar, Uruzgan, Maidan Wardak and Helmand provinces,” the statement added.

The militant groups have not made any comment regarding the report yet.
